Applied AI · Computer vision · Products that work

Make the
unlikely
work.

Wild Ducks designs and builds AI systems that have to work outside the demo: cameras and video, models on ordinary hardware, agents people can supervise. Founder-led, with specialists joining per project, from first prototype to shipped product.

Teaching a model
which way is up.

RightWayUp measures how far an image is rotated, across the full 360°, and recognises when a view has no “up” at all. Built for camera monitoring, it keeps working on dim, blurred and compressed frames. Released on 30 September 2026 under Apache-2.0, in six sizes; the smallest runs here, on your device.

Give AI a voice.
Keep your own.

Two voices. A well-timed interruption. A laugh in the right place. Synthetic conversation with a human in the director’s chair.

02 · What we work on

Technology should expand what people can do.

That is the thread through the work: a camera becomes useful perception, a model becomes a creative instrument, a collection of agents becomes work you can still steer.

Choose a kind of work

Cameras and video people can trust.

A camera image, a changing screen, a noisy stream of observations. The useful question is what a person can understand and do with it.

Twenty-five years
of making systems work.

Software, then camera and fibre networks, banking infrastructure, vision AI across international markets, and now applied AI and agents.

Wild Ducks is founder-led. You work directly with the person designing and building the system, and specialists join when the project needs them. That range is what makes it possible to see both the technical opportunity and what it will take to make it useful.

A billboard that knew
what you were driving.

Real-time make and model recognition on a live road, built from IBM video analytics and an early deep-learning model. Porsche and Lexus ran the first campaigns in Australia; Chevrolet and Paramount’s Transformers took it to the United States.
